Department/Position Description

The Center for Communication Disorders in the College of Education and Human Services is seeking two full-time Assistant Professors to teach in the Communication Disorders Program. These are 9-month, tenure-track positions to begin Fall 2017.

Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities will include: maintaining an area of expertise in teaching, supervising graduate clinicians, advising, engaging in service activities at the departmental, college, and university levels as well as developing an independent and/or interdisciplinary program of research.

Minimum Education Requirements

Candidates must have a Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology or related discipline and possess the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP). Candidates must also be eligible for Kentucky State Licensure. Applicants meeting experiential and licensure requirements with a documented plan of completion of a doctorate within two-years of the appointment may be considered.

Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements

Candidates should have strong interpersonal skills and experience with clinical supervision. Candidates should provide evidence of expertise in at least one of the following areas: fluency disorders, voice disorders, language disorders, or neurogenic communication disorders.
